Our aim at Barfly is to eradicate the stress many book lovers experience when confronted by the futility of the contemporary novel: you can rest assured before you even pick up a Barfly title that it will almost certainly be totally pointless, so that's one pitfall you don't need to worry about! And even if some serious content does manage to sneak past our editorial big red pen, we endeavour to keep our books short, short and sharp, ergo any intellectual damage you may experience will be limited.
As for diligent research ... who needs it? We encourage our authors to write from personal experience, and if they get really stuck ... well, make it up! That's what fiction's all about!
